This website reminds me of xanga, from when i was younger. Anyways, i only made this to be able to vent, im not sure anyone will read it but dont really care if they do. I'm 9 months pregnant [37 weeks] with my little boy, and im way anxious for him to come right now. I'm only 17, so yeah im one of those teen moms who everyone criticizes, but i just wish people would realize, tis not always a bad thing. Anyone can make a good or bad mom, regardless of age, some people are just fit for the title. It may be true that its harder for younger moms, but its hard for any mom really. As long as you know your goals, and whats needed to raise a child, i think most teen moms can do well. I think the biggest problem teen moms have is that they have lack of support, and its sad. I have plenty of support from my boyfriend [the baby's dad] and my mother and brother, but a lot of teens cant say the same. Its sad that a young teen girl cant turn to family when she needs them most. I agree abstinence is a great thing, and maybe we are too young to be out having sex, but things happen, and we do it, so the world can get over it. True, a lot of teen moms are on welfare, but so are a bunch of lazy ass grown women, who chose not to work. You cant just criticize one social group, and not think of the rest. It hurts walking out in public and getting funny looks, im not going to lie, especially when i feel like tis more of a racist situation...[im white, boyfriends Salvadorian] Its like my kids going to be looked down upon for two reasons. I really wish that if people had nothing nice to say, they would keep their mouths shut. I didnt abort my kid, because i dont believe in abortion, its not for me, and i didnt give him up for adoption because i know i can do it, and a lot of girls my age in my situation are the same exact way. Theres bad teen moms, theres bad 40 year old moms, that doesnt make every mom a bad mom does it? I just wish people would leave it alone, because one day they might be in the situation of their teen daughter being pregnant, and theyll understand how it feels to be criticized for something that was really no one else's business.
